A High Court sitting in Ondo State has sentenced a man, Akinyemi Babatunde, to death after he was found guilty of armed robbery and killing his boss.

The convict, who was a driver to the victim, was arrested by officers attached to the Ondo State Police Command in December 2012 for robbing Mrs. Faith Omotayo, his employer at the time.

Babatunde went away with a Toyota Camry car; a laptop computer, two mobile phones and a power bank all belonging to the victim.

The convict was said to have tied his boss to a plastic chair at her house on CAC Street, Isanlu, Isuada in Owo Local Government Area of the state.

In his ruling, Justice Yemi Fasanmi said that the prosecution counsel, Wale Bamisile, had proven beyond reasonable doubt that Babatunde was guilty of the crime, thus the verdict by the court.
