Voters argue with soldiers as they denounce military presence at a polling station during the final round of a delayed run-off presidential election on March 31, 2018 in Freetown.

The USAID Mission Director, Mr Stephen Haykin, made the declaration in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria.

He spoke on the sidelines of the premier of a film entitled: “In Love and Ashes’’ held at the Muson Centre, Lagos.

The television series “In Love and Ashes’’ which depicts the current insurgency in the North East is aimed at using entertainment to preach peace in troubled areas.

It is also aimed at addressing the impact of war and terrorism on people’s everyday lives.

Insurgency in the North East had caused disruption of institutions, destruction of infrastructure and displacement of people.

In spite of the devastation, hope still thrives on the streets of Maiduguri, where the drama was set.

The series touches on themes such as tribal and religious inter-marriage, status of women and girls, drivers of radicalisation and violent extremism, and hardships connected with being an Internally Displaced Person.

The television drama, scripted and produced by Watershed Entertainment is billed for broadcast on TV stations on April 4.

It was partly funded by USAID, 2Baba Foundation, North East Regional Integration (NERI) and Westgate Production.

On the reason for the partnership with entertainment industry to preach peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, the USAID Mission Director said the agency would like to use available options to achieve peace.

He said “Nigeria is so important to us, first because the country is large and we are concerned with peace and stability in the country.

“Secondly, Nigeria is the powerhouse of Africa and we believe because of its size and importance, it is crucial to the development of Africa; so, we need peace.

“What we are campaigning for is peace and that is the target, a national unity among Nigerians: we have been using other medium too like social media to preach peace.

“We know that so many people will be watching the television series and we are sure that our contributions from the agency will go a long way with others in the production of the television series.”

Guests at the premier of the film included the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Stuart Symington, Music icon 2face Idibia, Nollywood Actress Kate Henshaw and members of the diplomatic corps.

Nigerian Army on Saturday said its troops killed four Boko Haram insurgents at Malumti village in the fringes of Sambisa Forest.

Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, made the disclosure in a statement in Maiduguri.

Nwachukwu stated that the insurgents were killed by troops in an ambush while trying to escape ongoing clearance exercise under “Operation Deep Punch II” on March 30.

He said the troops recovered a Toyota Land Cruiser, one AK 47 Rifle , 15 Rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, one magazine and 47 Jerry cans of petrol from the insurgents.

He added that “the insurgents were routed out of the Sambisa Forest by troops under Operation Deep Punch II, rummaging  for food and logistics when they met their Waterloo.”

Nwachukwu disclosed that gallant troops deployed in a checkpoint in  Muna Garage in the outskirts of Maiduguri also neutralised four suicide bombers on Friday.

He explained that the bombers, comprising a male and three females were killed while attempting to infiltrate Maiduguri metropolis.

He noted that “the insurgents, attempting to infiltrate Maiduguri metropolis through Muna Zawiya area at about 9.30pm, were spotted by vigilant troops who fired shots, hitting one of them, thereby triggering simultaneous explosions which killed all of them.

“Regrettably, 18 persons were injured in the incident and have been evacuated for medical attention.”

According to him, troops and members of  the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were  conducting cordon and search operation in the area for any other suicide bomber lurking around.

Nwachukwu urged the public to be vigilant and report suspicious persons and activities to security agencies.

Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja

The Presidency on Saturday said the recent call made by a former Minister of Defence, Lt.-Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (retd.), that Nigerians should not rely on security agencies but defend themselves in the face of killings across the country as shocking and scary.

It said unrestrained pronouncements were capable of encouraging criminal gangs to defy legal governing and democratic institutions.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba, Shehu, said these in a statement made available to journalists.

Shehu urged prominent Nigerians to use their national influence wisely and shun public declarations that are capable of threatening national security.

He also advised former leaders to take advantage of the various fora where they can advise the government on security matters without resorting to the exploitation of emotional sentiments.

Shehu wondered if any country can survive if its citizens rise against its military.

He said Nigerians must be careful to avoid the mess that destroyed other African countries like Somalia.

Despite Danjuma’s verdict on the armed forces however, the presidential aide commended the Nigerian military’s efforts to maintain peace and stability, “despite being pulled in various directions by elements determined to destabilise the country and government for their selfish reasons.”

The statement read, “The Presidency wishes to appeal to prominent Nigerians, who have national influence, to use their influence wisely and not continue to engage in public declarations that are likely to inflame emotional passions and threaten National Security.

“The Presidency is very worried that criminal gangs will feel justified in defying legal governing and democratic institutions, and authority of legitimately elected democratic government if unrestrained pronouncements are made.

“Silence can be dignified, but sometimes it can be misinterpreted and exploited. It is both shocking and scary to hear the recent comments by a senior citizen calling for Nigerians to defend themselves.

“The Presidency commends the Nigerian military’s efforts to maintain peace and stability, despite being pulled in various directions by elements determined to destabilise the country and government for their selfish reasons.

“What country would survive if its citizens rise against the country’s organised, trained and equipped military?

“We advise former leaders to take advantage of the various fora where people with a history of national security can offer advice to the government without resorting to the exploitation of emotional sentiments.

“The civil war motto: ‘To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done’ rings very timely at this time in our nation’s history. We must be careful to avoid the mess that destroyed other African countries like Somalia.”

The reaction came exactly one week after Danjuma last Saturday while speaking at the maiden convocation of the Taraba State University, Jalingo, and the 10th anniversary of the institution told Nigerians to defend themselves against killers in the country, saying  the armed forces were not ready to defend them.

The former Chief of Army Staff had stated, “I am not a politician and politics is one profession I don’t want to belong to because if I am a politician, I will not say what I am going to say to you now.

“When I arrived in this arena, I saw rich cultural display and I was amazed at the rich cultural heritage of our people. Taraba is a mini Nigeria with diverse ethnic groups living together peacefully, but the peace in this state is under assault.

“There is an attempt at ethnic cleansing in the state and of course, some rural states in Nigeria. We must resist it. We must stop it. Every one of us must rise up.

“Our Armed Forces are not neutral. They collude with the bandits to kill people, kill Nigerians. The Armed Forces guide their movements; they cover them. If you are depending on the Armed Forces to stop the killings, you will all die one by one.

“This ethnic cleansing must stop in Taraba State and other rural states of Nigeria otherwise Somalia will be a child’s play.

“I ask every one of you to be alert and defend your country, defend your territory and defend your state. Defend yourselves because you have no other place to go. God bless our country.”

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, and other individuals have since supported Danjuma’s call.

On March 3, 2018, Jehovah’s Witnesses began a global campaign to distribute invitations to the Lord’s Evening Meal, also known as the Memorial of Christ’s death. Witnesses in 240 countries will gather for the event, which they consider to be the most important of the year, on March 31. The invitations also welcome the public to attend a special Bible lecture entitled “Who Really Is Jesus Christ?” which will be presented during the week of March 19.

David A. Semonian, a spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses, states: “In 2017, over 20 million people attended the Memorial, some 12 million of whom were not Witnesses. So the Memorial is a significant annual event not only for Jehovah’s Witnesses but also for millions of visitors worldwide. Our goal is that all of our neighbors receive an invitation to attend the event at a location convenient to them.”

Yenagoa-A Bayelsa State High Court, Yenagoa Division and presided over by Justice Emmanuel Ogola has sentenced a 38-year-old man, Diepreye Sunday Olayo to death by hanging.

Olayo, a member of Greenlanders cult group and also believed to be the hit man of Bobos cult in the state was found guilty for the murder of one Being Ilebiri, whom he shot dead on September 6 2011 along RBIs Mechanic road, Amarata, Yenagoa, the state capital.

The prosecution counsel Andrew Seweniowor Arthur, who tendered the confessional statement of the accused and 13 witnesses said its case has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that Olayo murdered Ilebiri on the fateful day.

Justice Ogola before delivering his judgment advised the two parties so seek redress in a higher Court if they disagree with his ruling.

While going through the history of the case which according to him he inherited upon his transfer to the Court, he noted that he had to deliver judgment of trial with trial on whether to admit the two confessional statements by the accused.

He said he ruled to admit the two confessional statements as there was no sufficient proof to indicate that the statement was extracted undue duress as claimed by the accused.

Ogola pointed out that the prosecution has proved its case as all evidences including confessional statements from the accused point to the fact that he committed murder.

He said: “I therefore find the accused guilty of murder of the deceased and I convict him for murder. This is one of the difficult aspect but we are here to do a job. I hereby sentenced the accused to death.”
There was however a mild drama as relatives of Olayo burst into tears alleging that they are being oppressed because they are poor.

They served notice that they would instruct his counsel to seek redress on the Appeal Court once they obtain a copy of the Judgement.

The respondents spoke in separate interviews with News Agency of Nigeria in Benin on Saturday.

They described it as unfortunate that residents were made to go through stress to withdraw money from the machines during such period.

They said most of the machines were not dispensing cash since Friday night, a situation they noted resulted into long queues in the few ones dispensing.

A resident, John Omoruyi, who said he was unable to get cash from the machines he visited on Friday night, regretted that the situation did not change as of Saturday morning.

He said “it is annoying that the banks do not make contingency plans for periods such as this.”

Another resident, Osadolor Ighodaro, said he got to the ATM at 6am and as of 10am, he was still unable to get cash.

According to him, he was at more than six ATMs of different banks but the same thing applied.

“It is like a plan by all the banks to deprive customers of their money during holidays: this is because we experienced same situation during 2017 Christmas celebration.”

Otabor Friday, also a resident, said he trekked from Cultural City at the city centre down to Dawnson junction at Akpakpava road in Benin just to make use of the machines.

Friday said “I tell you, it was a futile effort as I couldn’t get any of the machines that was dispensing cash in the long stretch of Akpakpava road.

“The only two machines dispensing cash were like market squares.”

He said the situation was same at the ATMs along Airport Road and Sapele Road.

Attempts to get response from security personnel attached to some of the banks proved abortive as they said they were not in a position to respond to the challenges.

One of the security officers attached to one of the new generation banks along Sapele Road, said the challenge would be addressed before the end of Saturday.

He added that “I am sure that the people responsible for it will come and look into this problem before the end of today.

“I can tell you that the rush for cash by customers is largely responsible for this problem, but it will be sorted out soon.”

Britain has to reduce its diplomatic staff in Russia by more than 50 more people, the foreign ministry said Saturday, following an escalating row over the nerve agent attack on a former double agent.
The new measures are seen as punishment for Britain’s calls on allies to expel Russian diplomats.

“Russia suggested parity. The British side has more than 50 more people,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told AFP.

On Friday, Moscow summoned British ambassador Laurie Bristow, giving London a month to cut the number of diplomatic staff to the same number Russia has in Britain.

Bristow had been handed a protest note in connection with the “provocative and unfounded actions of the British side which instigated the unwarranted expulsion of Russian diplomats from a variety of states,” the foreign ministry said Friday.

In all, more than 150 Russian diplomats have been ordered out of the US, EU members, NATO countries and other nations in solidarity with Britain over the poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter on British soil in early March.

Earlier this month Russia expelled 23 British diplomats, closed a British consulate in Saint Petersburg and halted the activities of British Council.

They came after Britain expelled 23 Russian diplomats and suspended high-level contacts, among other measures.

On Friday, Russia expelled diplomats from 23 other countries — most of them EU member states — in retaliation against the West, in the biggest wave of tit-for-tat expulsions in recent memory.

Malala Yousafzai visited the Swat valley Saturday for her first trip back to the once militant-infested Pakistani region where she was shot in the head by the Taliban more than five years ago.

“I left Swat with my eyes closed and now I am back with my eyes open,” she told AFP, referring to how she was airlifted out in a coma after the attack in 2012.

“I am extremely delighted. My dream has come true. Peace has returned to Swat because of the invaluable sacrifices rendered by my brothers and sisters,” she said at a school outside Mingora, the district’s main town, where she was escorted by the Pakistani military.

The brief trip by the 20-year-old Nobel laureate is a highly symbolic moment for Pakistan, which regularly touts Swat as a success story in its long battle with extremism as it defends itself against accusations by the US and others that its northwest remains a safe haven for militancy.

The visit — on which she was accompanied by her father, mother, and two brothers — was kept tightly under wraps.

After flying by army helicopter from Islamabad, she met with friends and family before visiting the all-boys Swat Cadet College Guli Bagh, a military-run school some 15 kilometres (nine miles) outside Mingora.

There she lingered some 45 minutes, taking photographs, before travelling back to Islamabad. The entire visit is believed to have lasted just over two hours.

Mingora is where Malala’s family was living and where she was attending school on October 9, 2012, when a gunman boarded her school bus, asked “Who is Malala?”, and shot her.

She was treated first at an army hospital then airlifted to the British city of Birmingham.

Her near-miraculous recovery, and tireless career as an education advocate, have since turned her into a global symbol for human rights, and in 2014 she became the youngest person ever to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize when she was just 17.

Her family also told AFP of their joy in coming home.

“I am unable to believe I am back in Swat and meeting my own people,” her father Ziauddin Yousafzai said, in comments echoed by her mother Toor Pekai.

– Tearful homecoming –

The trip comes two days after Malala, currently a student at Oxford University in Britain, made her emotional return to Pakistan, where her surprise visit has been met with widespread joy and pride.

She broke down in tears as she made a televised speech on Thursday, saying it was her “dream” to be back, and has vowed to Pakistani media that she will return permanently after she has completed her education.

However she has also been met with pockets of intense criticism. Malala is widely respected internationally, but opinion is divided in Pakistan, where some conservatives view her as a Western agent on a mission to shame her country.

There had been much speculation within the country over whether Malala would go to Swat during her visit.

The mountainous region, once a prized tourist destination famed for its pristine scenery, was overrun by the Pakistani Taliban in 2007.

The militants imposed a brutal, bloody rule, but the army drove them out in 2009. Recently restrictions on tourists visiting the area were lifted.

However security has remained fragile, as the assault on Malala three years after the military operation demonstrated. In February this year 11 military personnel were killed in an attack, and analysts have warned the militants still have a presence there.

Residents of the area have praised Malala to AFP in recent days, crediting her with helping to generate improvements in education — especially for girls — in the deeply conservative region, part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Earlier this month an all-girls school built with money from the Malala Fund opened in Shangla district northeast of Mingora, where her family lived before moving to the city.

Malala told AFP in Swat that she could see vast changes in the area since 2012 — but added she has read reports which claim up to 50 percent of children are still out of school.

“We will have to work very hard to bring them all to school,” she vowed.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has undergone heart surgery in Los Angeles and reports say he is in high spirits.

The Austrian-American film star and former California governor, 70, had a scheduled procedure to replace a valve at Cedars-Sinai hospital on Thursday.

The device was installed to repair a defective aortic valve in 1997. Thursday’s operation lasted several hours, TMZ website reports.

Schwarzenegger is said to be recovering well and reportedly commented after waking from surgery: “I’m back.”

His spokesman, Daniel Ketchell, said that Schwarzenegger was “in good spirits”.

Responding to the news, Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz wished his “friend” well in a tweet, adding: “I look forward to seeing you again.”

Schwarzenegger is best known as the hardman of cult movies such as the Terminator and Conan the Barbarian.

He served two terms as California governor from 2003 to 2011 before returning to acting in The Expendables.

In May last year, Schwarzenegger was honoured in France with the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur, the country’s most prestigious medal, for his environmental work.

Voting began Saturday in Sierra Leone in the final round of a delayed run-off presidential election after a campaign marked by verbal sparring, sporadic violence and a last-minute legal battle.

A wafer-thin margin separated the two frontrunners after the first round on March 7, adding to tensions in the West African country where political loyalties are often divided along ethnic lines and traumatic memories of civil war run deep.

Opposition challenger Julius Maada Bio of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) had a narrow edge over Samura Kamara of the ruling All Peoples’ Congress (APC), in a ballot with a turnout of more than 80 percent.

“So far this morning, everything is normal, it is presently peaceful. People will come later”, said Momoh Sesay, an observer from the ruling party stationed in the capital Freetown.

The 11,122 voting stations opened at 0700 GMT but the crowds appeared lower at the start of the vote than the first round, AFP journalists in Freetown said.

Voting is due to end at 1700 GMT and the result is expected a few days later. There are 3.1 million registered voters.

“It makes me proud to vote for the president I need to vote for”, said Momoh Kamala, a 36-year-old cleaner in Freetown.

– ‘Too close to call’ –

“The race is too close to call,” Edmond Abu, director of the Native Consortium and Research Center, told AFP on Friday.

The key to victory lies with whoever wins Kono, a diamond-rich district in the east of the country, Abu said.

The runoff had been scheduled for Tuesday but was delayed so the High Court could hear a complaint by the APC that some ballots had been tampered with.

The court lifted an injunction on Monday, but the National Electoral Commission said it needed four extra days for preparation because of lost time.

Bio, 53, is bidding to end a decade in power by the APC.

He is a blunt-talking retired brigadier who took part in a 1992 coup and briefly led a junta in 1996 that helped pave the way for democratic elections.

In 2012, he lost the election to the APC’s Ernest Bai Koroma, who is stepping down after a decade in power.

– Tension –

Bio’s platform is focused on education and criticism of the government’s closeness to China, while Kamara is presenting himself as a continuity candidate who will develop Koroma’s programmes on health care and road construction.

But the campaign has been characterised by ugly verbal exchanges and occasional violence.

Bio has accused the APC of using police intimidation against his party and the electoral commission, and of sponsoring the court case to cling to power.

Police have reported a string of attacks on candidates and supporters on both sides since the first round, which saw Bio lead the field by a mere 15,000 votes with a turnout of 84 percent.

Kamara has said he is “satisfied” with the court decision, and repeated calls for the vote to go ahead peacefully.

“The safety and security of Sierra Leone is in our hands. We should not allow an election to undermine our integrity,” he said.

The APC broadly relies on the Temne and Limba people in its northern strongholds, while the SLPP is more popular in the south with the Mende ethnic group.

Sierra Leone, rich in minerals, was a British colony from 1787 until 1961. Three decades later, it plunged into a civil war that lasted 11 years and claimed 120,000 lives.

Koroma’s decade-long tenure was marked by the 2014-16 Ebola crisis, which killed almost 4,000 people, and a mudslide that struck the capital Freetown in 2017, killing hundreds.

It could cause more harm than good – Kent Okwe Bisong, Teacher

First of all you have to understand why he said that. It’s an emotional statement due to the recent killings of his kinsmen. He is from Taraba state. But as an elder statesman, he shouldn’t have said that because it could cause more harm than good.. Such statements coming from someone like him will only encourage young men to acquire more weapons in the name of defending themselves thereby posing more problems for the state.

It’s just a warning – Kolade Kemi Kafilat, Corp Member

This statement is an encouragement to those who already have sinister thoughts. But it is just a warning statement. No harm in preparing oneself against the unknown.

You get killed when you’re defenseless – Joseph Pere, Media Consultant

When you are defenseless you can be killed, but when you have a means of defense, it’s a 50:50 chance. So it’s okay, and that doesn’t mean people should acquire guns and other weapons for personal wickedness. Though to purchase a gun, you need a licence even though we know people still get illegal ones. But in a way, being armed is good. If I know you are armed, I will be more careful not to attack you easily.

This is an encouragement to the weak – Osaze, Event Compere

Self defence is not arms carrying. You do not sit down and watch while somebody puts his/her fingers into your eyes. TY Danjuma’s call is an encouragement to the weak and thus the weak should stand up and defend themselves.

Inability of security agencies to protect lives justifies the call – Charles Otu, Journalist

The call is long overdue especially considering the fact that the security forces in Nigeria appear not to be only overwhelmed by the recurring attacks on lives and property, but also seem to have compromised in their constitutional mandate to protect lives and property. Nigerians had expected the government at the centre to take the issue of herdsmen and farmers clashes seriously by not just talking tough, but acting tough like during IPOB ‘unrest’. Even when security agencies claimed they were foreign mercenaries, not much has been done to truly unravel their actual identities. This alone appears to have heightened apprehension and therefore justify the call by T. Y. Danjuma for Nigerians to defend themselves!

He should have exercised more caution – Enitan Olukotun, Journalist

TY Danjuma should have been more cautious with his statement considering his standing in the country. He is a very influential personality whose opinions can be taken for the gospel. However, the contextual meaning of his statement should not be discarded. It is becoming increasingly worrisome that the security agencies can’t protect the lives of the citizens. Recall that over 73 people were killed on the 1sth of January, 2018 and yet we have not seen the arrests of any of the killers. It suggests complicity of sorts. Therefore, it won’t be out of place for people to exercise commensurate level of defense to save their lives when marauders attack. Enitan Olukoun, Editor -In -Chief, Complete News.

He waited too long – Larry Kyaan, Businessman

He waited too long in my opinion. Maybe the call coming from someone of his standing is just what Nigerians need to jolt us to the reality of what’s going on.

This could trigger more crises – Terry Olakunle, Film maker

Such a statement from a top personality could trigger more crises, because TY Danjuma is one of the national leaders whose words or opinions go a long way in nation building. If TY Danjuma wants Nigerians to defend themselves, thereby encouraging Nigerians to acquire weapons, then our leaders are telling us that Nigeria is close to being a failed State, where security is not guaranteed. It was very wrong of him to have made such a statement.

It will lead to chaos if adopted – Williams Eke, Banker

I think it’s a situation of national security and if adopted, will lead to chaos. Our military is to blame. They have not been doing a good job, that is why this type of option is being considered.

We can’t afford to fight another civil war – Ambassador Cornel Udofia, Publicist

Such comments are capable of widening the ethnic gap in the country leading to an outbreak of animosity and violence. We can’t afford to fight another civil war. Recall that the failed break-away republic and secessionist state – Biafra was built on similar circumstances, as well as the failure of the leaders at the time to reach a truce to avert the three- year war. Our leaders must come together to bring the desired peace needed for the growth of the country .

Afeez Yusuf, businessman, Abuja

“Apology is not the first step to it. PDP should first of all admit the fact that it destroyed our economy by trading the future of Nigerians, especially the youths for the personal aggrandizement of its members. Voting them in again should be out of the question.”

Musa Saint, Development expert, Abuja

“For me, nothing has changed despite the apology. There is no difference between the APC and the PDP. I will be on the lookout for a good candidate and once I see one, I will not only vote for him or her, but will also canvass for votes as if my life depends on it.”

Kyande Samson, Student, Abuja

“Nigerians should accept PDP’s apology wholeheartedly because so far, the APC has only made a success of the blame game. The promises made by the party (APC) have not been kept, so why not the PDP in 2019? I personally believe the PDP will do better if given another chance, especially now that they have realized their mistakes and humbly apologized to the people.”

Impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction, is a condition where a man is unable to get proper erection. The condition affects at least one in ten men in Nigeria at some point in their lives.

Erectile dysfunction can occur at any time of life, but it becomes more common with age.

Research show that, half of the total population of men in Nigeria who are over 40 years old suffer from weak erection, quick ejaculation and having a small manhood size.

Believe it or not, there are actually 3 things that are the root cause of premature ejaculation and weak erection:

1. Having a Penis heart attack;

Do you know what a penis heart attack is? It’s known as the condition when you can’t have a proper erection.

And the main reason for this is that your body can’t pump enough blood into your penis muscles (due to excess fat that blocks some of the small blood vessels in your body and arteries).

The solution to this is to cut down on your weight and avoid eating too much fatty foods.

2. Smoking and heavy drinking

This explains itself… smoking too much and drinking excess alcohol causes weak erection and poor sexual performance.

3. Old Age

Most men have destroyed their body responses due to bad habits of youth times like excessive masturbation.

At 35 years and above, the only way left to get stronger erections and last longer during sex is to take some male enhancement drugs.

I have tried lots of them and truth be told, most of them do not really work.

But not until recently when I came across a research about capsules made from ginseng, which has been long used by Malaysian men as a natural aphrodisiac.

A recent study found out that men with weak erection and premature ejaculation improved their sexual performance in the bedroom after taking the tablets for just a few weeks.

Although drugs such as Viagra and Cialis, have been proven to help men get stronger erections, but unfortunately they come with 2 problems,

1) dangerous side effects that can cause havoc to the body system and damage the penis permanently

2) in the last ten years, about 30 percent of men who take these drugs do not see improvement

The unique part about gingseng is that it’s a purely herbal remedy and has a curative effect for men with erectile dysfunction.

The root of gingseng contains several active substances, called either ginsenosides or panaxosides, that are thought to be responsible for the medicinal effects of the herb.

Some few months ago, I was lucky to come across one of such herbal supplement made from gingseng.

Good news is that, it was recommended to me by a Doc friend and men health specialist. And he also checked properly to confirm that the herbal supplement is NAFDAC approved and certified.

And when used and administered professionally will help you boost your testerone levels, cure the root cause of your premature ejaculation and weak erection.

Without wasting time, let me introduce you to the NAFDAC Approved supplement that helped me and over 542 Nigerian men completely cure quick release, weak erection and restore sexual stamina and vigor without side effects of any kind.

You see, after I improved my sexual performance, my wife was still complaining of how small my manhood was and how it was almost useless to her.

I had to run back to a men health specialist to ask if there was something natural I could use to make my manhood grow bigger, thicker and longer.

I explained to him how ladies used to laugh at me during my bachelor days just because my manhood was too small and tiny.

And most times these ladies do not like having sex with me after the first time of seeing my manhood.

The men health specialist again decided to show mercy upon me… and recommended an enlargement gel that have helped over 1,300 Nigerian men to increase their penis size up to 3.5inches.

By just using the gel to massage their manhood via penile massage techniques or exercises.

The enlargement gel imported from Japan works for increasing the length and girth of your manhood without any side effects.

What you simple do is to use the enlargement gel to massage your entire manhood and testicles before going to bed.

An author, Mr. Sebastian Eze has called on Nigerians to embrace spirituality as the bridge between religious and scientific disagreements on the origin of mankind.

Speaking during the launch of his book titled: Spiritual Me: A Bible-Based Approach to Spirituality, Eze said religion and science were related. He said: “Spiritual Me teaches practical Bible-based spirituality distinct from the practice and teachings of contemporary spirituality or Christianity as a religion. It considered the Bible as a unique, spirit-inspired literature that contains the purpose of creation, the will of the creator and the path of spirituality.

“It presents an open-minded, scientific and logical perspective in its review of the Bible with the intention to expose the place of the spirit of life in creation. On his part, Managing Director, Arrowhead Marketing Services, Mr. Aindero Olalekan said the book hoped to elevate man to his lofty place in creation.

The National Emergency Management Agency has confirmed the death of three suicide bombers at Muna area of Maiduguri in an attempt to infiltrate the town on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that four powerful explosions occurred between 9: 00 and 9: 30 pm, sending terrifying echoes to many parts of the town.

NEMA’s Northeast Zonal Coordinator, Mr Bashir Garga, who confirmed the incident, said that the blast occurred outside the town.

Garga disclosed that the suicide bombers detonated Improvised Explosive Devices strapped to their bodies behind the security trench at Muna Garage area in the outskirts of Maiduguri.

He said that terrifying echoes by the explosions caused some residents of the area to flee which made them to sustain injuries.

Garga added that the wounded were referred to hospital for treatment in Maiduguri.

“Details on the incident are still sketchy. It occurred behind the trenches and only the suicide bombers were killed,” he said, adding that normalcy has been restored to the area.

NAN reports that Muna Garage is prone to suicide bomb attacks and the military had imposed a dusk to dawn curfew to secure the area.

For the obvious reasons, many women pay so much attention to their breasts and butts; not just because they are vital body parts, but also because these sexual organs are central to their attractiveness by men.

Perhaps, out of the need to impress or boost their confidence level, some women resort to employing different means to enlarge these body parts; talk of breast enlargement and butts enlargement. To some younger persons, the bigger the better, while to some wives, big breasts and butts would increase their husbands’ desire for sex, especially knowing that men are moved by what they see.

Although, there are some who do it because their breasts didn’t really develop, that, according to reports, is in the minority.

But as much as some are able to enlarge these body parts successfully, usually through surgery, safe for the option of taking (expensive) pills, experts have warned that there are inherent dangers in going under the knife to enlarge these organs.

In fact, usually, such persons are requested to sign consent forms, just to make sure they have been briefed of and are well aware of the potential risks and complications that could arise.

Talking about breasts first, apart from the huge financial cost, some studies have proved that there are usually complications that would occur after the surgery, thus, there would likely be additional surgeries to correct the resulting complications.

There are two popular implants for breast enlargement, which are saline (filled with saline or sterile saltwater) and silicone (filled with silicone gel), but according to an associate professor of surgery at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Laurie Casas, both saline and silicone implants do not last forever, as some break while some deflate and have to be changed. “Patients have to deal with that reality; nothing lasts forever,” she told WebMD, a website that provides valuable health information and tools for managing health.

Another risk associated with breast implants is a rare form of cancer, called anaplastic large cell lymphoma. The Food and Drug Administration in the United States, while issuing the warning in 2017, said the cancer might have killed about nine persons already, regardless of whether it’s saline or silicone implant.

“As of February 1, 2017, the FDA has received a total of 359 medical device reports of breast-implant-associated ALCL, including nine deaths,” the FDA said, advising that people should take some caution before going for any implant.

While also cautioning women who are contemplating breast implant, the World Health Organisation said the cancer could take up to 10 years to develop. It explained that the cancer often presents itself as an accumulation of seroma fluid between the implant and the surrounding fibrous capsule. It also noted that early detection and removal of the implant could be the possible solution.

“All of the information to date suggests that women with breast implants have a very low, but increased risk of developing ALCL compared to women who do not have breast implants,” FDA officials said on their website.

More incisively, the FDA, on its website, identified the risks to include pain in the nipple or breast areas, changes in nipple and breast sensation, rupture of implants and capsular contracture, which is a breast augmentation complication that develops when internal scar tissue forms a tight or constricting capsule around a breast implant, contracting the breast until it becomes misshapen and hard.

The other complications, according to FDA, include the fact that while some can breastfeed despite the implant, some may not be able to breastfeed because the breast tissue and glands that produce milk could have been lost during the surgery; and it is not yet known whether some silicone could pass through the shell into the breast milk during breastfeeding, which could affect such a child.

Others include skin rashes around the breast, shifting of the silicone, usually caused by gravity or trauma, risk of infections that accompany surgery and in this case could lead to the removal of the implant, the incision site might not heal on time, deflation, due to the leakage of the saltwater in the saline solution, chest wall or underlying rib cage could appear deformed, the skin around the breast could shrink, the breasts could appear uneven in appearance in terms of size, shape or breast level, which could prompt desperate moves to package them or consider another surgery to avoid embarrassment.

“Many of the changes to your breast following implantation may be cosmetically undesirable and irreversible and the longer you have breast implants, the more likely you are to experience local complications and adverse outcomes,” the FDA warns.

A Birmingham-based woman, named Dennie Lees, who had earlier undergone breast implant, said she almost lost her life in 2016 when her breasts burst. She paid £2,375 (over N1.2m) for the first surgery.

In a report by UK Metro, she said the explosion occurred few days after her surgery in Belgium. Lees said a nurse told her that she would have died overnight if she had not gone back straight to the hospital immediately she felt ripple sensation in her left breast, after the second surgery.

And beyond the risks associated with surgery, the Cancer Research organisation in the UK warned people against using pills for enhancements. “Because we don’t know enough about the long term safety and effectiveness of breast enhancement pills, we recommend that you don’t use them,” it added.

It also warned that people who have breast cancer should not use such pills, warning that the pills could interfere with the cancer treatments.

Butt surgery also fraught with uncertainties

While many people seem to focus on breast enlargement and its effects, studies have revealed that butt enlargement, usually through surgery, is as risky as the former.

In fact, a report by Mail Online showed that at least 15 women died from butt implants between 2011 and 2015, and a 45-year-old Venezuelan woman who also underwent the surgery said, “It hurts so much I can’t sit down for even five minutes.”

And it should be noted that inability to sit down, owing to severe pains, is one of the complications such women have to live with. Unlike the breast enlargement procedure, the synthetic substance injected into the butt has been found to be unstable and could move to any part of the body, which could result in deformity or even death, as it could find its way to the lungs.

A 25-year-old lady, Janelle Edwards, died in 2016 after her failed plastic surgery. New York Daily News had reported that Edwards, a mother of two daughters, lived in pains. It was later found out that she died as a result of blood clot, which was caused by the surgeries she had recently.

Her sister, Samantha, was reported to have said that the operations – breast enlargement, a tummy tuck and butt implants, which she did at Dominican Republic killed her. One of her neighbours was also quoted as saying the deceased was in pains even before she died.

A consultant endocrinologist, Dr. Michael Olamoyegun, stressed that though people do it for fashion and to look sexier, there are “so many” risks associated with it.

He also noted that the complications are usually more with the butt enlargement than breasts enlargement, because the implant for butt is bigger.

He identified the associated risks to include the risk of the surgery itself, the risk of the anaesthesia because such persons would be placed under general or regional anaesthesia. He said each surgery has its own inherent complications, coupled with the risk of the implant itself.

He added, “The major complications associated with it include haemorrhage (bleeding) during surgery, there can be infections, the implant being inserted into the body is a foreign material to the body, so it can cause allergy as well as attract infection. So, some people can react to the implant; it’s usually a synthetic material.

“There can be rejection of the implant by the body, but the most feared complication is the rupture of that implant. Once it ruptures, it causes ulceration, which can lead to necrosis, in which case the blood supply to that region could be cut off.”

Necrosis is the death of most or all of the cells in an organ or tissue due to disease, injury, or failure of blood supply.

He said the complications apply to both breasts and butt implant “but the ulceration could be more for butt implant, because the size of the implant put in the butt is bigger than the one in the breasts. So, the failure is higher in the butt than in the breasts. The same thing with the ulceration and necrosis.”

It is equally worthy of note that not every man loves ‘them’ big, and as previously advised by marriage counsellors, sex therapists and psychologists, people do not have to go for organ enlargement to have a satisfactory sexual experience. Rather, they advised that couples should make the most of what they have, especially by communicating intimately with their partners.
