A section of the popular Fruit Garden Market in D-Line, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, was razed by fire on Thursday, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
The fire started at 8.30pm and had spread beyond the control of those within the vicinity of the market before firefighters came to the rescue.
