The Nigerian bobsleigh team at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games in South Korea comprising Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga and Ngozi Onwumere compete on Tuesday in the heat one and two of the two-woman bobsleigh run.
They will compete in the heat three and four of the event on Wednesday.
In the four practice runs for the event, which ended on Sunday, the team finished 20th.
Adigun (driver) and Omeoga (brakeman) competed in the heats held at the Olympic Sliding Centre.
Heats one and two held on Saturday while heats three and four held on Sunday.
In heat one, the Nigerian team finished in 19th in 54.18secs, which was 3.07secs behind the winners Canada.
In the second heat, the Nigerians maintained their 19th place in a time of 53.49secs in the 20-woman race. They finished 2.23secs behind the winners Canada.
But in the third heat, the duo slipped to the 20th position after finishing in 52.96secs – 2.06secs behind USA, who won the heat.
And in the last heat, which was won by Germany, Nigeria finished 20th with a time of 53.60secs. They were 2.35secs behind the winners.
These results are however insignificant in the race for the medals as the official competition starts today.
