Osogbo—the Osun State capital, entered the new year was with pomp and ceremony, fireworks, and funfair. Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his immediate predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola and Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi, witnessed the ceremony which attracted a big crowd.
